Dear Ones,
There is much afoot at Trinity right now! Activities to serve, to be together, to love our neighbor, to pray, to be seen and known. It's a meaningful time here. A special thanks to the 18 (!) newcomers who attended our Tea with the P-i-C on Sunday! We are a growing and thriving congregation and we are so glad you're here.
A couple other little notes for you:
First, if you didn't get to hear our first Stewardship speaker, Steve Sinquefield, on Sunday, please click HERE and fast forward to the 40 minute mark to hear his wonderful message.
Second, this Sunday is All Saints when we remember those who have died this year. Bring photos for the Ofrenda and recall those special saints in your life!
Next: families! We will have a Advent/Christmas Crafting Day on Saturday afternoon, November 22! Come on out to join us for the fun! Email Padre Omar to learn more.
The RE-Humanization Project invites you to the Veterans' Vigil on Sunday afternoon, Nov. 9 at 4pm. Also, a new (virtual) Short Short Club studying the topic of humanization through short stories will begin Tuesday, November 18. More info on both of these and a link to register for the club is below.
We are getting ready for the holidays: our annual Thanksgiving breakfast for our hungry neighbors is coming up and volunteers are welcome. Also, Angel Tree for NourishPHX will begin Sunday. How can you get involved in these or other ways?
Lastly, our Quilting Ministry wants to help you learn to quilt so you can be part of this marvelous ministry. They meet two Saturdays a month in the Parish Hall and they'll teach you! This Sunday, quilts will be out for us to tie a knot of prayer for whoever will receive the quilts. See below to learn more!

¡Hay mucho que hacer en Trinity en este momento! Actividades para servir, estar juntos, amar a nuestro prójimo, orar, ser vistos y conocidos. Es un momento significativo aquí. ¡Un agradecimiento especial a los 18 (¡!) recién llegados que asistieron a nuestro Té con el P-i-C el domingo! Somos una congregación en crecimiento y próspera, y estamos muy contentos de que estén aquí.
Un par de notas más para ustedes:
En primer lugar, si no pudieron escuchar a nuestro primer ponente sobre mayordomía, Steve Sinquefield, el domingo, hagan clic AQUÍ y avancen hasta el minuto 40 para escuchar su maravilloso mensaje.
En segundo lugar, este domingo es el Día de Todos los Santos, en el que recordamos a aquellos que han fallecido este año. ¡Traed fotos para la ofrenda y recordad a esos santos especiales en vuestra vida!
A continuación: ¡familias! ¡Tendremos un día de manualidades de Adviento/Navidad el sábado 22 de noviembre por la tarde! ¡Vengan a unirse a nosotros para divertirse! Envíen un correo electrónico al Padre Omar para obtener más información.
El Proyecto RE-Humanización les invita a la Vigilia de los Veteranos el domingo 9 de noviembre a las 4 de la tarde. Además, el martes 18 de noviembre comenzará un nuevo club (virtual) de relatos cortos que estudiará el tema de la humanización a través de relatos breves. A continuación encontrarán más información sobre ambos eventos y un enlace para inscribirse en el club.
Nos estamos preparando para las fiestas: se acerca nuestro desayuno anual de Acción de Gracias para nuestros vecinos hambrientos y se aceptan voluntarios. Además, el domingo comenzará el Angel Tree para NourishPHX. ¿Cómo puede participar en estas y otras actividades?
Por último, nuestro Ministerio de Patchwork quiere ayudarte a aprender a hacer patchwork para que puedas formar parte de este maravilloso ministerio. Se reúnen dos sábados al mes en el salón parroquial y te enseñarán. Este domingo, habrá colchas para que hagamos un nudo de oración por quienes las recibirán. ¡Mira más abajo para obtener más información!

Thanksgiving Breakfast - Can You Help?
We will host breakfast on Thanksgiving for our unhoused neighbors. We will need volunteers to assist on the day for a shift during the window of 6am - 10am for hosting, cooking, cleaning up, welcoming, and more. Can't make it that day but want to help? Starting Nov 23, you can drop off a breakfast bread: muffins, rolls, bagels, etc. that we will also provide to our guests.
To sign up, use the sheet in Olney Gallery or email Dave Howell at davejoanhowell@gmail.com. To make a donation toward this ministry, click HERE and type "Thanksgiving" in the memo line.
Desayuno de Acción de Gracias: ¿puedes ayudar?
Organizaremos un desayuno el día de Acción de Gracias para nuestros vecinos sin hogar. Necesitaremos voluntarios que nos ayuden ese día en turnos entre las 6:00 y las 10:00 de la mañana para servir, cocinar, limpiar, dar la bienvenida y otras tareas. ¿No puede venir ese día, pero quiere ayudar? A partir del 23 de noviembre, puede traer pan para el desayuno: magdalenas, bollos, bagels, etc., que también ofreceremos a nuestros invitados.

Trinity Quilters' Ministry
Thank you! All of you fill Trinity Quilts with prayers when you tie knots that bind them during coffee hour. More quilts will be ready for your prayers and knots this Sunday, November 2 in the Olney Gallery!
Curious about joining Trinity Quilters? Drop in during our next work session, Saturday, November 8. We are in Atwood Hall from 9am to 2pm (bring a lunch for our break at noon!). No experience is ever needed. We will teach you the way we were taught - one step at a time!

¡Gracias! Todos ustedes llenan Trinity Quilts con sus oraciones cuando hacen los nudos que unen las colchas durante la hora del café. ¡Este domingo, 2 de noviembre, habrá más colchas listas para sus oraciones y nudos en la Galería Olney!
¿Le interesa unirse a Trinity Quilters? Acérquese durante nuestra próxima sesión de trabajo, el sábado 8 de noviembre. Estaremos en Atwood Hall de 9 a. m. a 2 p. m. Believe it, or not it’s time to get ready for Christmas!
Once again Trinity Cathedral will be supporting Nourish Phoenix as they help make Christmas special for the children in our community ages 2-13, but they're doing it a little differently this year!
They will be decorating their facility into "Santa’s Workshop" so parents can pick out what they want for their children from all the wonderful toys and games we provide.
There are two ways you can help:
- Pick a tag or two off the tree in Olney Gallery and purchase the gifts on it.
- Buy gift cards from places like Target, Walmart, Goodwill, HalfPrice Books, etc.
Please spend no more than $50 dollars and please do not have items shipped directly to the Cathedral. If you would like to ship a gift, email Deacon Myra (myra@trinitycathedral.com) to get an address to mail things to. Bring the gifts unwrapped or in a gift bag to the Cathedral before December 7. Thank You!
Aunque no lo creas, ¡es hora de prepararse para la Navidad!
Una vez más, la Catedral Trinity apoyará a Nourish Phoenix para ayudar a que la Navidad sea especial para los niños de nuestra comunidad de entre 2 y 13 años, ¡pero este año lo harán de una manera un poco diferente!
Decorarán sus instalaciones como el «Taller de Santa Claus» para que los padres puedan elegir lo que quieren para sus hijos entre todos los maravillosos juguetes y juegos que ofrecemos.
Hay dos formas de ayudar:
- Elija una o dos etiquetas del árbol de la Galería Olney y compre los regalos que aparecen en ellas.

Czinar’s paintings are inspired by hiking in Arizona’s diverse terrain. “I decided to reignite my old passion for painting to better communicate why the Arizona wilds are so enchanting.” Czinar writes for Phoenix Magazine and has authored books about hiking in Arizona. She has a BFA from California State University and has studied painting at Phoenix Center for the Arts.
Lovett creates Surreal Landscapes. His paintings are inspired by landscapes that drift beyond what we know, placing familiar elements in unfamiliar settings. “I hope to spark curiosity and reflection. This series is less about depicting a place and more about evoking a feeling.” Lovett has studied painting and drawing at Phoenix Center for the Arts since 2020.
Quissell captures the beautiful, elusive moment of changing light and how it plays on the view. “I enjoy how watercolor moves across paper on its own, creating serendipity, and I enjoy the colors and surface qualities that can be imitated in glazing.” Quissell is a private art instructor and has an MFA from the Savannah College of Art and Design.

Las pinturas de Czinar se inspiran en las excursiones por los diversos terrenos de Arizona. «Decidí reavivar mi antigua pasión por la pintura para comunicar mejor por qué la naturaleza salvaje de Arizona es tan encantadora». Czinar escribe para la revista Phoenix Magazine y es autora de libros sobre senderismo en Arizona. Tiene una licenciatura en Bellas Artes por la Universidad Estatal de California y ha estudiado pintura en el Phoenix Center for the Arts.
Lovett crea paisajes surrealistas. Sus pinturas se inspiran en paisajes que van más allá de lo que conocemos, colocando elementos familiares en entornos desconocidos. «Espero despertar la curiosidad y la reflexión. Esta serie no se centra tanto en representar un lugar como en evocar un sentimiento». Lovett ha estudiado pintura y dibujo en el Phoenix Center for the Arts desde 2020.
Quissell captura el hermoso y esquivo momento del cambio de luz y cómo este juega con la vista. «Me gusta cómo la acuarela se mueve por sí sola sobre el papel, creando serendipia, y disfruto de los colores y las cualidades de la superficie que se pueden imitar en el esmaltado». We pray for peace,
for goodwill among nations, and for the well-being of all people. We pray for our President and for the Congress, the Cabinet, and the Supreme Court. We pray for justice and peace, particularly in Gaza, Israel, and in Ukraine & Russia.
We ask your prayers for the poor,
the sick, the hungry, the oppressed, and those in prison, particularly those who are being removed from this country without due process and those being removed in spite of being in legal immigration processes. We pray for those losing or being priced out of healthcare or SNAP. We pray for all those who are afraid in these times.
We commend to your mercy all who have died, particularly Martha Campbell, that your will for them may be fulfilled; and we pray that we may share with all your saints in your eternal kingdom.
We pray for: Jill, Glen, John, Scott, Kathy.
We give thanks for those celebrating birthdays and anniversaries this week.
