Even though we are part of a large organization, our foster care and adoption program is small in size, allowing us to get to know families personally so we can better meet their needs. What also sets us apart is our expertise in helping children who have experienced trauma. For over a decade, we have used evidence-based approaches, and are proud to have launched our HALO Project program in 2018. We are the only agency in Pennsylvania to provide this 10-week intensive program to help struggling adoptive kids and families. We offer our HALO Project program for children ages 3-12 and will offer the teen version of the program beginning in 2021.
The Salvation Army Children’s Services provides foster care, adoption and support services in 10 counties in southeastern Pennsylvania. We have offices in Allentown and Harleysville, and its our mission to help children find safe, loving homes and to support families so that kids can thrive. When people think of The Salvation Army, they often think of emergency services or red kettles at Christmas time, and even though our program has been around for almost 30 years, we need to find new ways to get the word out about what we do and how we can help. Joining the Indian Valley Chamber of Commerce has been a great way to make new connections in the community and grow awareness of our program!
And to help support share our knowledge with the community, we offer educational training sessions to anyone who cares for children from “hard places” to help them better understand their child and learn new parenting strategies.

The Indian Valley is an incredibly caring community. We are blessed to be part of the Chamber and look forward to partnering with the business community and other nonprofit organizations to help serve local children and families.

Chamber Showcase
The Chamber Showcase , a contribution-based feature that will be shared via the Chamber website, emails, and social media channels. All we ask is that you submit an article and photo(s) that we can use in this new regular feature. Our goal is to publish this column on a regular basis (bi-weekly or monthly, depending on the content we receive), so the more member businesses and organizations that send us material, the better. This can be content highlighting an employee, a milestone, or sharing your expertise on an industry topic.

We look forward to you participating in the project and helping us to promote you
