St Anthony Church Newsletter
Jesus wants to keep us focused. It is too easy to get distracted by this world. If we pray to keep our focus on Christ and the example he gave us, our loving Good Shepherd will always keep us in his care and never let anyone distract us or lead us astray. If we allow ourselves to be distracted and lured by pastures that may at first appear greener, we can quickly lose our way.

Are you willing to let go of all those distractions and return to the true shepherd?

Volunteer of the Week
Beth Whelan

After Beth and her husband moved to Prospect in 1972 they immediately joined the St. Anthony parish. While her children were young Beth took on the job of coordinating the CCD program for many years.
After her children had grown her focus changed and she became involved other ministries at the church. “I always liked to help where I can. I feel it is important to do something to support the Church”, Beth relates.
She started working in the Bingo Ministry selling tickets and helping with the
games, and then moved into the kitchen. Another long term commitment Beth
made was to the Altar Society, helping with keeping the altar linens clean one
month a year. She has also been active with the Ladies Guild and Seasonal
Decorations at Christmas and Easter.
Thank you Beth for your many years of supporting our parish family in so many
