Saving Monkeys ~ Promoting Compassion

Dear Kari,

As we come together to celebrate this season of gratitude, our hearts are filled with appreciation for the incredible Jungle Friends community.

From the resilient spirits of our monkey residents to the dedication of our caregivers, and the generous contributions of our supporters, donors, and our Monkey Sponsors.

Every member of our Jungle Friends family plays a vital role in making our mission a reality.

These two cuties were a surprise just in time for Thanksgiving -- more to come, stay tuned.

Each monkey at Jungle Friends carries a story of courage and hope, like Oak, a Common squirrel monkey who was in nicotine addiction studies, and Kilroy, a Bolivian squirrel monkey who was in cocaine experiments. Kilroy also holds the title of the oldest squirrel monkey on record at 30 years of age! Click on their photos for more insight into the lives of these amazing creatures. Thanks to your compassionate support, they now enjoy the freedom to explore, the comfort of companionship, and the peace they deserve.

Meet Winthrop, a cotton-top tamarin who endured life in a research laboratory, and Aliyah, a golden-handed tamarin who was rejected by her family group and came to Jungle Friends in search of companionship. Together, this unlikely duo has formed a heartwarming bond, earning them the nickname "the odd couple" because of their differences in species. Their friendship is a beautiful reminder that love knows no bounds.

No matter your species, color, or gender, we all have the capacity to live in harmony and show respect. Winthrop and Aliyah remind us that differences can unite us, and through understanding and kindness, we can build meaningful connections. Their bond is a powerful example of the beauty of acceptance.

Please Consider Sponsoring a Monkey Friend

As the holidays approach, we hold close the precious memories of our beloved monkeys who crossed the Rainbow Bridge: Puchi, our spirited Brown capuchin, and Samantha, our cherished white-faced capuchin and co-founder.

We treasure the joyful moments of Christmases past, watching them eagerly unwrap presents and fill our sanctuary with happiness.

Though they are no longer physically with us, their loving spirits continue to inspire and warm our hearts. We invite you to celebrate their beautiful lives by watching their memorial videos below.

Your kindness provides more than their basic needs—nourishing food, attentive medical care, and engaging enrichment activities. It offers the monkeys a chance to thrive and live their best lives.
