Most of my motorcycling life was about speed and performance, and comfort was low on the priority list. I have ridden many 500-mile, one day trips, to Laguna Seca to go to the races. The rides were so much fun, but because of the performance bikes I rode, I was always hurting when I got there!
Right now I’m looking for new shocks for my bike because the stock ones are old and just too harsh. I used to put new shocks on my bikes to enhance their cornering performance. The stock shocks on bikes now perform so well, there really is no need to change them unless you are going racing. And even then, a change is not always needed. To me, comfort is more important than outright performance nowadays.
