Paid for by McShane for Monterey County Supervisor
FPPC # 1415578
Friends,

Happy April! As butterflies dance through our streets, I'm taking stock of the great strides we are making in our Region. This last month:

  • The city of San Luis Obisbo joined Monterey Bay Community Power, committing to providing their residents with electricity derived from renewable sources.
  • The City of Salinas rolled back fees that previously prevented Additional Dwelling Units (ADUs) from being built.
  • We also planted 220 trees in the last 8 weeks!

As we gear up for summer, I'd love to hear from you! What do you want to see change? Take a minute and fill out the survey below. I always appreciate hearing from you!

In service,

-- Steve McShane, Candidate for Monterey County Supervisor District 4

Spring Cleaning
On Saturday, April 6, more than 60 volunteers came out for our Monterey Park Elementary School clean up and waste disposal day!

For three hours, we pulled weeds, raked new mulch, and helped Salinas residents pitch their waste. All told, we disposed of 125 car loads of junk, pulled 1,000 pounds of weeds, and spread 10 yards of mulch!

Thank you to all the amazing folks who gave up their Saturday morning to help: Santa Lucia Rotary Club, Sun Street Centers, Monterey Park Neighborhood Watch, Monterey Park School PTA, North Salinas High School Interact Club, the City of Salinas employees, and more. You made a huge difference for our kids and our City!

Thank you to our partners and sponsors: Principal Brian Hays, Republic Services, Santa Lucia Rotary, and McShane’s Landscape Supply!
