Today, I’m reflecting on freedom.
Not the abstract kind.
The lived kind. The earned kind. The fought-for kind.
Juneteenth is more than a date in history. It’s a mirror.
It reflects a journey: from bondage to liberation. From survival to ownership.
As a Black woman in sales and leadership, I carry both the weight and the privilege of that legacy.
I think about the doors my ancestors never had the chance to walk through. And I honor them every time I walk into a room and own it.
I wasn’t handed a roadmap for entrepreneurship.
I had to build it.
I had to break barriers in my mind before I could break them in business.
I had to choose to believe that I belonged. That I was worthy of success. Even when the world didn’t say it out loud.
That’s what Juneteenth means to me.
It’s a reminder that freedom isn’t just historical. It’s deeply personal.
And every time I help a sales leader find their voice, or teach a field rep to lead with belief instead of fear, I’m living that freedom out loud, in real time.
So today, I invite you to pause and ask yourself:
What does freedom look like in your sales career?
What would change if you led from a place of ownership instead of obligation?
Hit reply and let me know your answers to those questions. I read every single message you send.
Let this be more than a holiday.
Let it be a heartbeat.
We’re not just building careers.
We’re reclaiming power.
