The Illinois Arts Council Agency (IACA) is pleased to announce the release of Fiscal Year 2024 guidelines and application materials for our three Open Deadline Programs: Artstour & Live Music (ATLM), Short-term Teaching Artists Residency (STARTS), and Individual Artist Support (IAS).
There is no hard application deadline date for these programs; applications will be accepted until funds are fully committed, or by May 15, 2024, whichever comes first. All three open deadline programs will accept applications for activities occurring through August 31, 2024. Applications must be received by the IACA no less than 8 weeks prior to the project beginning date.
Artstour & Live Music (ATLM)
Artstour & Live Music (ATLM) provides support to eligible Illinois not-for-profit organizations seeking to present Illinois performing artists, companies, or groups for performances, collaborations, or short residencies held in conjunction with performances.
Short-term Teaching Artists Residency (STARTS)
The Short-term Teaching Artists Residency (STARTS) program provides support to eligible Illinois not-for-profit organizations, schools, and school districts for short term residencies focused on hands-on learning experiences conducted by Illinois artists, companies, or ensembles.
Individual Artist Support (IAS)
Individual Artist Support (IAS) program encompasses two different funding tracks, the Professional Development track (IAS/PD) and the Artists Project track (IAS/AP). The Professional Development track supports professional development opportunities related to an individual artist’s career. The Artist Project track supports individual artists in the production and presentation of an artistic project. The IAS program represents the Agency's continuing commitment to support the work of individual artists.
An Important Tip
If the project or activity for which you seek funding is scheduled for anytime between January – August 2024, we advise you to apply for your selected Open Deadline Program as soon as you meet all program requirements. Do not wait until the last minute (8 weeks prior to the start date) to apply. Fiscal year 2025 applications for Open Deadline Programs will open in July 2024 but will not fund anything prior to August 31, 2024.
