I hope you have seen the adventures of IACP's new EVP Scott Brunner on social media. Talk about a busy first few weeks on the job!
Please follow IACP on social media (see the item below on how to do that) so you can be in the know on all that we are doing. Three weeks into the job, Scott is on the go and on the road! He has visited IACP headquarters to meet with the Houston staff. He has met with some key leaders in the industry and has more meetings scheduled. This week he made a loop through the southeast. Don't be surprised if he pops by for a visit. There is no better way to learn about compounding and the issues we face than a visit in your store.
Also, this week, your IACP Board of Directors approved an 18-month strategic stability plan aimed at invigorating our association and moving the needle on issues that matter to you, our member. The four prongs of that plan are:
* Membership growth and retention, all aimed at strengthening our base and our effectiveness as the voice for compounding pharmacy.
* Revenue growth and expense reduction
in order to stabilize our organization and prepare it for the next phase of success.
* Public policy effectiveness
that results in some wins in Washington and a fair, reasonable regulatory framework for your business.
* Addressing the ethical issues and negative news in compounding - and demonstrating to policymakers and news media the real value you provide to your patients.
In the months ahead, you'll see a laser-like focus on these four goals. Stay tuned, and watch as we grow and go!
Now is the time to register for CCH! We are working with our champions in DC to reintroduce our legislation. We need you there to get your legislators to sign on as sponsors of the bill. You are a vital part of this being a successful effort. Join me there!

We've added two great panel discussions to the CCH agenda ...
This week we added two panel discussions to the education schedule for CCH:
- Sunday, May 19: A 'how-to' session on USP compliance (just in time, right?).
- Monday, May 20: "Coming to Consensus on Public Policy Priorities in Compounding," a panel discussion featuring industry lobbyists David Pore, Amy Shank, Aaron Lopez, and Jim Rock.

IACP submits PCAC nominations
IACP nominated the following four compounding pharmacists to serve as nonvoting representatives on FDA's Pharmacy Compounding Advisory Committee (PCAC):
- Rich Moon of Pharmacy Innovations
- Gus Bassani of PCCA
- Matt Martin of PCCA
- Erik Tosh of Letco Medical
Selected members will serve a four-year term beginning Nov. 1, 2019. IACP also submitted a letter of interest to participate in the selection process.
