Lack of Afterschool Program Access In Indiana Could Impact Education, Economic Recovery
For years, afterschool programs have kept kids safe, inspired them to learn, and helped working families. And according to recent findings from America After 3 PM - the largest survey on afterschool programs to date - unmet demand for afterschool programs has skyrocketed.

The survey concluded that for every one child enrolled in an afterschool program, three are still waiting to get in. This is especially problematic now, as programs have played a key role in addressing educational and economic inequalities further highlighted and exasperated by the pandemic. Click below to read more about this survey, its findings, and what it means for OST programs in Indiana.

Special thanks to Indiana Public Broadcasting and WFYI for highlighting the need for and the benefits of OST programs in this statewide coverage.
