Hello New England insights and data professionals! We hope you’ve had a healthy, successful and happy year. It’s been quite a year for the chapter! To recap, we hosted TEN events across New England - all aimed at helping keep you abreast of the industry and connected to your fellow insights professionals. But we’re not done! On December 12th, we will be joining WiRE (Women in Research) at their year-end event to learn more about the value of diverse teams. More info about the event is below.
Some of you reached out to ask why we did not host a Fall Conference. Unfortunately, there was a conflict in Boston with another industry conference. Also, running two major conferences a year has been a bit difficult on our all-volunteer team. Therefore, we are going to focus on our Spring Conference as our flagship event. But we are aiming to make this event even bigger than before! For 2020, we are putting the finishing touches on a new location, new focus, new ways to network, and new ways to learn! We’re innovating to help you innovate! More info will be following soon – but let’s just say that we are VERY EXCITED for 2020!
To get the new year off to a great start, on January 29th we are hosting our annual winter party at Central Wharf in Boston. I hope to see you there!
I also want to say “thank you” to those IANE members who were able to vote on our 2020 slate of officers. Our 2020 team is ready to roll up our sleeves and get going. This is my last President’s Letter, as Andrew Peach will be taking the baton from me. His creativity and energy will continue to drive our programming in the region.
Thanks so much for clicking on this newsletter and taking the time to see what’s new with IANE. It is your participation and attendance that makes our effort possible and worthwhile. Have a peaceful holiday season.
Kind regards,
Jane Mount
President

Two Research Rendezvous events were held – one in Portland, Maine and one in Hartford, CT. Local insights professionals got together to enjoy some local brews and food and catch up on the latest goings on.

Insights Bootcamp at Suffolk University
|
Suffolk University graciously hosted this event on their Boston campus. Attendees went through a real-life case study where they programmed a survey using Qualtrics, tabulated their data and then presented their findings to a “client.” A big THANK YOU to all involved from Suffolk University and IANE – particularly Pelin Bicen, Elizabeth Wilson, and Andrew Peach.
