There are also numerous other sessions that we hope you will find of interest. Please don’t miss out on a great meeting with renowned and upcoming international speakers. Fukuoka is also a foodie haven, so make plans to try something new. Japanese cuisine is so much more than tempura and sushi! Registration for the meeting can be found here.

At the meeting in Fukuoka, the International Council will approve the site for the 2032 bienniel meeting. Bids are due on 31st July. Several exciting venues will be considered. If you are considering submitting a bid, please have your materials to Central IAP by the deadline. See resources & instructions to submit here.

The International Council will also be voting on the President-Elect of the Academy. Nominations should be submitted by 31st July and must include an endorsement in writing from the division of which the nominee is a member. Submit nominations here.

The European Congress of Pathology will be held in Stockholm, Sweden from the 12th - 16th September, 2026. The Joint European Society of Pathology/International Academy of Pathology Educational sessions will be held on Sunday, 13th September:

A path around adversities – the mentorship that changed my life

When the internship turns out to be a surprise

Learning today to teach tomorrow

Alternate training pathways

We encourage you to attend. The sessions typically generate a significant amount of discussion and often present material you cannot get anywhere else!

Finally, Central IAP has updated its website and is now in a position to offer website support for divisions that are unable to support their own due to cost and logistical reasons. We can host meeting announcements for your division, manage registrations for meetings and are open to discussing other needs you might have. Please consider using this new resource and contact Rachael Lowery, Executive Director, for further information.

See you soon in Stockholm and/or Fukuoka!

Submit Your Councilors for IAP2026

Divisions, please review your Division's Council representatives from IAP2024. If you will have different representatives, please share their names and contact details via the button below— this ensures they receive important materials ahead of time.

Beware of Phishing!

Recently, members have been encountering phishing emails circulated under the name of Dr. Toyonori Tsuzuki, President of the JDIAP, offering a special invitation for discounted flights of hotels. These are fraudulent-- please report and delete! There has been no breach or leakage of information; these are unfortunately common attempts that take place around large events or groups like our Congress.

Reminder - 2026 Membership Dues

2026 IAP membership dues have been distributed to all divisions.
