IAP2 June Training Recap

What a wonderful start to our 2026 IAP2 training series! Both Fundamentals of Public Participation and Designing + Leading Public Participation sold out, bringing together more than 20 participants each day. Trainer Doug Zenn led an energized and thoughtful group through practical tools, lively discussion and plenty of shared learning. We wrapped up the training with our June Meet & Mingle on Migration Brewing’s PacWest rooftop patio, where participants and Cascade Chapter members gathered for an early summer evening of connection and celebration.

Thank you to everyone who joined us. We can’t wait to come together again for the final installment of the IAP2 training series in September!

Green Loop Concept Plan

The Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT) is advancing the Green Loop idea by refining the route and developing options for more feasible, shorter-term projects. The Green Loop is a six-mile linear park and pathway designed to invite people of all ages and abilities to experience Portland’s Central City in a new way—walking, biking, rolling, or simply enjoying the space. It will improve access to and link important regional destinations, while also serving as a series of public spaces for people of all ages and abilities to move, gather, relax, and play. It will be a connection between places, as well as a series of places itself.

They want to get your input on:

  • The work they've done so far
  • Where they prioritize future investments
  • Their design concepts for the Green Loop
