As state environmental departments continue to test water systems across the country, the results have indicated elevated levels of PFAS, compelling schools to take immediate action. In response, schools have been notifying parents, providing bottled water, installing filtration systems, closing off water fountains, and posting signs instructing students and staff not to drink from the sinks.
Join Dr. Brad Skertich, Superintendent of Collinsville CUSD #10, and Dr. Clint Miller, Senior Technical Director at J.S. Held, for a comprehensive look at PFAS contamination from both the technical and practitioner perspectives. Dr. Skertich will share his firsthand experience navigating PFAS challenges in his district and working with J.S. Held to develop solutions. Dr. Miller, an expert in geochemistry and hydrogeology, will cover the science behind PFAS, emerging regulations, testing protocols, and practical strategies for addressing contamination in your district.
