The International Aloe Science Council is issuing its annual Call for Candidates to the IASC Board of Directors for the 2023 election cycle. The Association's Bylaws and Election Policies will govern this nomination process and election.
A candidate for the Board may be an owner, employee, consultant, or other designated representative of a company wishing to be represented on the Board. Individuals are also welcome to submit their nominations. Candidates must be officially nominated in writing by completing and returning the Intent to Stand for Election form.
The Board generally meets two times each year, usually coinciding with trade shows such as Expo West and SupplySide West, or by virtual arrangements, and Directors are expected to adhere to the attendance requirements as defined by the IASC Bylaws. In addition, Directors are expected to participate in ongoing functions of the organization. While Directors receive no remuneration for their services, the benefits to the companies represented, and the industry as a whole, are well recognized.
The deadline for submitting the completed intent to stand for election form along with a candidate statement is Friday, February 10, 2023.
IASC encourages you or your company to identify a candidate and submit the Intent to Stand for Election form as soon as possible. IASC needs the experience, expertise and leadership of its members to address ongoing challenges and opportunities, and to prepare and respond to the needs of the industry.
