I hope you all had a great Summer, and your work and home life is going well. The IASW Board and Council continue to work on your behalf to achieve the aims and objectives of IASW. To promote excellence in practice, raise the profile of social work and create a supportive community of social workers. IASW is conducting an evaluation so as to ensure that we continue to provide a quality and efficient service by making the best use of our resources on behalf of our ever increasing numbers of members. It is important too that members let us know their views and ideas, by engaging with IASW via their special interest groups, share ideas with members through contacting the office or via our social media accounts Twitter (@IASW_IRL) or Facebook.
I would like to thank Sarah Donnelly who agreed some months ago to guest edit the next IASW Journal, and the excellent journal will be in the post soon. Congratulations to Donal Gill, who is the new Chair of CORU Social Workers Registration Board. Many congratulations to our office manager Danielle, Board members Donal O'Malley and Billie Anne McCauley who have all had new additions to their families. Finally many thanks to you for being a member and in particular to everyone who gives of their time to IASW, we are indeed stronger together.
