Don’t forget to also register for the PRE-CONGRESS. The theme of the Pre-Congress Symposium (September 15, 2024) is “New Frontiers in Clinical Toxicology”. A variety of topics will be covered including wastewater testing for drugs, the proliferation of semi-synthetic marijuana compounds, drug checking services and the discovery of novel psychoactive substances with artificial intelligence.

TDM JournalThe Editors of Therapeutic Drug Monitoring are delighted to announce the work on a Special Issue on TDM of Immunosuppressive drugs for the year 2024. The Special Issue will be developed in collaboration with the Immunosuppressive Drugs Scientific Committee IATDMCT. Dr. Florian Lemaitre will be Co-Editor.

Review articles and original research related to the focus of the Special Issue are appropriate. If you are interested to submit innovative work from your research group, please send your proposals to the Review Editor, Dr. Shipkova at maria.shipkova@arcor.de. After Dr. Shipkova’s approval, you should submit the article online. The deadline for the submissions is July 30.

The International Congress of Pediatric Laboratory Medicine (ICPLM) is the triennial meeting of the Task Force on Pediatric Laboratory Medicine (TF-PLM) of the International Federation of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (IFCC). RSOAThis symposium is dedicated to Charles S. Lieber, who was a pioneer in the field of alcohol-induced liver and gastrointestinal diseases. Dr. Lieber has been a clinical investigator, physician and passionate academic teacher. The symposium will address the following: mechanisms and biomarkers of alcohol-induced damage to different organs, as well as the role of other substances of misuse in this dialogue. Participants will learn about the relationship between alcohol intake in several chronic diseases, in the presence or absence of COVID-19 and other viruses, as well as, the interactions of alcohol with medications and drugs of misuse.
