Thanks to the members of the organizing and the scientific committees for an informative Congress. Special thanks to the executive organizing committee, Dr. Stein Bergan and his team. Their tireless efforts made all the attendees feel welcomed. We also thank all members of the scientific committee for preparing a diverse program. We also acknowledge the presentations offered by our colleagues from industry, who updated us on new instrumentation and new techniques to be used in the laboratories.

A special thanks to all attendees for contributing to the vivid atmosphere and exchanges during the Congress. IATDMCT 2023 offered a scientific platform for 510 registrants from 36 countries. The program included plenary and invited lectures, 6 Plenary sessions, 19 symposia, 105 oral presentations, 10 breakfast roundtables, 1 industry workshop and 165 research posters. I hope you and your families are in good health and are safely home.

The recent congress in Oslo was a huge success. We were very glad to catch up with colleagues and hear about some really excellent science. We also bumped into Steve Wong and Phil Walson, first and third presidents of the IATDMCT, and we were delighted they obliged us with an interview about the origins of the Association.
