The 21st IATDMCT 2023 will be held 24-27 September 2023 in Oslo, Norway. IATDMCT 2023 will be the most important opportunity for experts in Therapeutic Drug Monitoring and Clinical Toxicology from the world to meet and discuss the innovations and challenges in the field.

Registration is open, and we are currently approaching 500 delegates. The registration fees are not expensive as the local Norwegian currency, NOK, is rather low compared to USD or Euros. Please observe that there will be an increase in the registration fee from September 10^th.

IMPORTANT: Although admittance to the reception in the Oslo City Hall Monday evening is free, participants must indicate at registration whether you will attend this reception.

Suggested Breakfast roundtables will appear in the program on the website. Registration for each Breakfast roundtable will then be found on the registration form.

Participants who have already registered for the congress will receive a separate invitation to register for the Breakfast roundtables.

Roundtables will run in parallel from 07:30 to 08:15 on Monday 25th and Tuesday 26th September. Participants (except chairs) will have to register at a fee of NOK 450 which includes a small breakfast in the roundtable room. The number of participants will be limited to 12 persons per roundtable.

Abstracts without presenter: If you submitted an abstract and find that you cannot attend the congress, please notify us by email (iatdmct@gyro.no) whether you have a co-author who will present (oral or poster) or if you need to withdraw the abstract.

Interviews with Norwegian Scientists: Stein Bergen

As we approach the Oslo congress, we have one final interview in the Norwegian Scientists series, this time with congress Chair, Stein Bergan. It’s great to hear from Stein, whose perspective adds to the picture painted in earlier interviews of Norway being a vibrant hub for the implementation of innovations in pharmacology, always for the benefit of patients. Stein traces developments since the days when PCR was understood to mean ‘Partido Comunista Revolucionario’ (!), and a mass spectrometer required several engineers to analyze a handful of samples per week. Though we’ve come a long way, Stein highlights some areas where there is room to learn and improve, a number of which will have dedicated sessions at the upcoming congress.
