TRAVEL GRANTS
If you are a scientist with 10 years or less experience in the field of TDM or clinical toxicology, or a scientist from a developing country (see IATDMCT membership application information) you may consider to apply. More information on eligibility requirements and the application process can be found at www.iatdmct.org/awards/international-travel-grant.html.

According to the policy, IATDMCT will offer a number of travel grants—for up to US$1,000 each—to attend the IATDMCT meeting in Prague, Czech Republic.

The Anti-Infective Drugs Committee of IATDMCT recently developed a position statement on the potential role for TDM of echinocandin anti-fungal agents and the manuscript ‘Therapeutic Drug Monitoring of the Echinocandin Antifungal Agents: is there a role in clinical practice?’ was published in the journal Therapeutic Drug Monitoring. Debbie Marriott, our Director of Education and chair of the Anti-infective Drugs Committee, presents three clinical cases to highlight the main take-aways on the topic, which helps us consider the clinical application of the findings.

Our IATDMCT Latin America Regional Meeting was held on Wednesday & Thursday, March 16 & 17, 2022. We had 149 people on day 1 and 120 on day 2, most from the Latin America Region, but also from many other parts of the world, including Indonesia and Côte d'Ivoire! II International Workshop on Pharmacometric Techniques for Modelling of Anti-Infective Agents (in Spanish) is going to be held on 4-5 April 2022. This workshop aims to establish a practical space in which beginners and experienced practitioners can upskill in the use of population pharmacokinetic modelling tools based on non-parametric techniques.
