We will accept both nominations from colleagues as well as members who would like to nominate themselves for office.
Candidate must be an active and fully paid member of IAWMH.
Treasurer must be based in USA due to IAWMH's nonprofit status 501(c)3 with the US Internal Revenue Service. This is only required for the Treasurer position not the other offices.
Please send your nominations for the posts of President elect (Vice President), Secretary and Treasurer for the 2027-2029 period no later than 31 August 2026 to leadership@iawmh.org. No extensions will be allowed after that date.
Nominations submitted must include for each candidate:
- Full name and affiliation
- Photo (headshot) of candidate
- List demonstrated record of active service and/or leadership within IAWMH
- Brief summary (one page maximum) of their resume
- Statement on why they want to serve in an elected position and what they would like to accomplish in that position
- Nominated by candidate or colleague (name, affiliation)
- Treasurer, only, must be based in USA
These will be shared with membership prior to the election in September.
By submitting to any of these IAWMH positions, you acknowledge that submission of a nomination indicates interest and eligibility to be considered; it does not guarantee acceptance as a candidate, as all nominations are reviewed by the Nominations Committee in accordance with IAWMH bylaws and criteria.
Per the IAWMH bylaws an electronic vote will be held prior to the 11th World Congress on Women’s Mental Health in Sitges/Barcelona, Spain in March 2027. Only members who are up to date in their membership fees will be eligible to vote. Likewise, candidates must be active and a fully paid member of IAWMH.
