Dear Tubman Families,

Last week, we celebrated Administrative Professionals Week, and I want to extend a huge thank you to Ms. Martinez and Ms. Tapia. They are the heartbeat of our main office, and we are so fortunate to have their dedication and care supporting our students, staff and families every day.

We also had an incredible Tubman Gives Back Week! It was truly inspiring to see our students engage in service projects that reflect our IB values of empathy and responsibility. Please see the graphic below to view our collective impact by the numbers!

To end that wonderful week, our students delivered a spectacular performance in our Spring Musical, Something Rotten! Jr. Our Bulldogs poured their hearts into the show, and we are incredibly lucky to have the creative leadership of Mr. Hall, Ms. Fleener, and Ms. C.. Thank you to everyone who joined us to cheer them on!

Important School Updates

Full School Day on May 1st: Please note that Friday, May 1st, is a full day of instruction for all students. We look forward to a productive day of learning to finish the week.
4th Grade Performs Downtown: I am excited to announce that our 4th graders were selected to participate in CPS Reverberate! They will be performing their "I’ve Got a Feeling" routine downtown on Tuesday, May 5th. We can't wait to see them shine on this big stage!
Community Meeting Regarding ComEd Substation: Last week, I met with Alderman Lawson to discuss the ongoing ComEd Substation project. We are currently working to schedule a community meeting where we can address our concerns directly with ComEd. I will keep everyone updated once a date and time are finalized.
