Dear Tubman Families,
Welcome back! We are so excited to launch the 2026–2027 school year and welcome our Bulldogs back to the building. By now, you should have received an email with your child’s homeroom teacher assignment. We look forward to seeing you all next week!
First Days of School:
- K–8th Grade: Monday, August 24th
- Pre-K: Tuesday, August 25th
Drop-Off & Pick-Up Logistics:
Kindergarten-4th Grade: Door 3- West Side of Building on Seminary Street (Playground)
5th-8th Grade: Door 1- West Side of Building on Seminary Street (North Turf)
PreKindergarten: Door 4- South Side of building on Wolfram Street
Note: Afternoon pick-up locations may differ from morning drop-off. Look for a welcome email from your classroom teacher with specific details regarding pick-up locations.
There are always opportunities to connect and be involved at Tubman. We hope to see you at some of our upcoming events.
Meet the Teacher Event:
- When: Thursday, August 20th | 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM
- Join us to meet your child’s teacher, drop off school supplies, and reconnect with our Tubman community!
Back to School Bash (Hosted by Friends of Tubman):
- When: Saturday, August 22nd | 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- Where: Tubman's North Turf
Student fee details will be available in Aspen on Wednesday, August 19th. A flyer with detailed instructions will also go home in your child’s Tuesday Folder during the first week of school.
We recently received great news regarding our OST program funding! We are finalizing the details and look forward to sharing our complete menu of after-school opportunities with you very soon.

Strong communication and partnership with our families are key priorities for us. Every Monday (or Tuesday if school is closed on Monday), you will receive a newsletter via Constant Contact featuring a preview of the week ahead, school announcements, and celebrations, while official CPS communications will be sent via Aspen.
