Dear Tubman Families,

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. As we head into another busy week of learning and growth, we are proud to acknowledge the start of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month. Throughout the month of May, we join our community in honoring the rich history, vibrant cultures, and invaluable contributions that AAPI individuals have made, and continue to make, to our society. It is a wonderful time to reflect on the diversity that strengthens our school and our world.

Here are a few important highlights for the week ahead:

Staff Appreciation Week: It’s time to celebrate our incredible educators! A huge thank you to all the parents involved in coordinating this week’s festivities. We partnered with the Friends of Tubman to plan a special week for our amazing teachers and staff. We truly appreciate all your support in making them feel valued!

YMCA Returns for 2026-27: We are excited to share that the YMCA will be returning next year for lunch/recess supervision and aftercare. Based on the helpful feedback parents provided this year, they are offering even more flexibility in scheduling to better meet family needs. Please see the flyer below for more details!

4th Grade Performance: A big shout-out to our 4th graders, who were selected to perform their dance routine at the CPS Reverberate event this week! We are so proud of their hard work and know they are going to rock the stage.
