Dear Tubman Families,

Welcome to our final, festive week before Winter Break! We have an action-packed five days of learning and celebration planned. Please note the following important reminders for the week ahead and the start of the new year:

Action-Packed Week: Join us for our fun Spirit Days, special Dance Shows, and a festive Hot Chocolate Shop!

Local School Council Meeting: We invite all families to join us this Wednesday at 6:00 PM for our LSC meeting.

Attendance Reminder: Vacations/Travel cannot be approved as an excused absence.

Quarter 2 Ends: Friday, December 19th, is the official end of Quarter 2. Report cards will be sent home after the break.

Winter Break Dates: Friday, December 19th, is the last day of school. Students will return to class on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 (Monday, January 5th is a non-attendance day for students).

Please make sure to remind your students that cell phone use is not permitted during practice hours. While we understand that parents need to communicate with their child, practice time is strictly for practice.

Congratulations - Tubman beat Inter-American on Saturday 12/6 in their first CPS game of the season!

Tuesday 12/9 - CHICAGO SKY BASKETBALL ACADEMY at Tubman after school in the gym 3-5pm

(We will have two trainers working with our players based on skill level plus this is a great opportunity to interact with women's basketball professionals!)

Thursday 12/11 - PRACTICE 3-5pm at Tubman

Saturday 12/13 - CPS GAME vs Franklin at 11am at Al Raby HS (players be ready to go by 10:30am)

Friends of Tubman is an all-volunteer group of parents and caregivers dedicated to making Tubman a great school for all students through fundraising and community events.
