I hope you had a wonderful first week of school and that your child is feeling excited and ready for Week 2! It was such a joy to see our students back in the building, and I am looking forward to all the learning, growth, and memories we will create together this year.

Open House – Thursday, September 4th, 4:00–6:00 PM

We are excited to welcome you to our Open House next Thursday!

At 4:00 PM, I will be hosting a special session for parents: Understanding Bullying: Prevention and Intervention. While this presentation is designed for parents, students are welcome to attend.

Classroom presentations will follow, with two time options to accommodate families:

-First session: 4:40–5:10 PM

-Second session: 5:20–5:50 PM

*These sessions are also designed for parents, but children are welcome to attend.*

As we continue to grow our IB Primary Years and Middle Years Programmes, we are gathering information about the cultural and linguistic profiles of our students. Labor Day Reminder

School will be closed on Monday, September 1st, in observance of Labor Day. We look forward to seeing everyone back on Tuesday!

We are excited to welcome our parents and caregivers to volunteer at Tubman! Volunteers must complete the CPS volunteer registration and volunteer approval is valid for one school year.

Interested in becoming a Level 1 volunteer?

Accurate Biometrics (the contracted vendor for Chicago Public Schools for State and FBI Fingerprint-based background checks) will be at Tubman on Sept 4 to provide FREE fingerprinting and background checks for anyone who is interested in becoming a Level 1 volunteer. Note that your application MUST be completed prior to your Accurate Biometrics appointment. CLICK HERE to sign up for an appointment, and please bring any paperwork and your ID with you.
