Coordinators' Corner

We'd like to send a warm welcome to our newest IB Bulldogs--our incoming 8th graders! We are so excited for you all to join our IB Bulldog family. If you have not already done so, please make sure you sign up for our IB Shadowing Days in February (and one week in March). This is a great opportunity to see what a day in the life of an IB student is like. It's also a good way to get a feel for the building, meet some future teachers, coaches, club sponsors, etc. Many of our current students and alumni still talk about their shadowing experience and how it "sealed the deal" for them to come to CHS!

February is scheduling month for our current CHS Students. Students in 9th-11th grades will go with their English classes to the library to schedule with their counselors. Please don't hesitate to ask questions and advocate for yourselves when needed!

Attention all 8th graders! If you haven't already done so, please don't miss your opportunity to sign up for our IB Shadowing Days this month. We still have plenty of spots open, so pick a day and come start your journey as a Bulldog!

Important Information from CHS Journalism!

Yearbooks can be purchased online at jostensyearbooks.com. The price is $50 until the end of February. There are also personalization options and payment plan options available online.

Do you have a senior? Do you want them to have a special shout-out in the yearbook? Senior recognition ads are also available for purchase at jostensyearbooks.com. Senior recognition ads are a great place to leave your senior a heartfelt note and submit your own photos, whether that be baby photos or senior photos. The deadline for purchasing your senior's recognition ad and submitting all photos and notes is February 8.

Do you know somebody who owns a local business and would like to support the school's quarterly newsmagazine, The Central High Times? The CHT staff is looking for local businesses who might be interested in donating toward the printing costs of the magazine through sponsorship or by purchasing advertising space in each issue of the magazine. For more information, please contact the print journalism adviser, Kori O'Dell, at keodell@spsmail.org.

ACT Help is here!

Just a friendly reminder to student and parents that there is ACT test prep at your fingertips!. These test prep resources are available for all students and may be particularly helpful for juniors. This Quick Guide explains how to access ACT Test Prep through Naviance.

There’s also a test prep button on the CHS College & Career Readiness Canvas course. Students can take full-length practice tests (even one section at a time) or utilize practice questions for sections or subsections that are troublesome. Please reach out if you have any questions!
