Happy August! Does anyone else feel like they blinked and skipped over June and July?

The Executive Management team has several irons in the fire to bring new and updated value-added benefits to the Membership. It really is an exciting time for the Association. Turning 50 definitely looks good on us, and we are excited for the next 50 years!!

You don't want to miss attending the IBDEA Golden Anniversary Celebration at our 2022 Conference. It will be a blast from the past as we leap into the future! We've made some changes to the schedule that we think you'll like.

Later this month, IBDEA.org will have a new look. This change will offer a SECURE online payment module where Members can join, renew, update their company info, register for schools, conferences, advertising, etc. Be on the lookout for an email asking you to verify your company info.

Although we feel nothing will ever replace in-person events, we are grateful to see everyone's smiling faces at our Zoom events. The Info Series is a great way to stay connected! We are a third of the way through the scheduled events—a huge shout out to all the presenters and attendees.

On January 1, 2006, Don Dillon passed the reins of the association management company he founded in Dallas, Texas in 1983, with 12 association clients and nine employees, to Madeleine Crouch. Since that day, Madeleine Crouch & Co., Inc. (MCC) has grown to a staff of 18 providing headquarters services to over 30 nonprofit organizations. The memberships of these associations are local to international and represent the fields of fundraising, commercial real estate, training & professional development, education, science, manufacturing, retailing, and the arts. MCC provides everything from membership management and accounting services to meeting planning and producing association publications – and everything in between. “The best thing about our work is developing relationships over many years and learning something new almost every day. And believe me, every day is different!” says Madeleine. Thanks in part to its longtime client relationship with the International Society of Beverage Technologists, MCC was invited to submit a proposal to become the new headquarters office for IBDEA this year, with a management team led by Cathy Jo “CJ” Marchain working closely with IBDEA’s executive director Lenette Egan. MCC is proud to have IBDEA as part of its family of association clients and launch this exciting new professional collaboration.

My name is Doug Barnum, and I work at Tognazzini Beverage Service, a long-time member of the IBDEA. I have been in the industry for three years and have come to know the IBDEA as one of the greatest tools for my success. Every question or obstacle I have come across has been answered by the people, who I now call friends, at the IBDEA.
