Promoting the IBCLC at the World Breastfeeding Conference

IBLCE ® was highly visible at the recent 3 rd World Breastfeeding Conference in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil held November 12 – 15, 2019. The conference provided a magnificent opportunity to promote the IBCLC ® and connect with a multitude of stakeholders worldwide. In addition, the Immediate Past Chair and the IBLCE Coordinator presented two sessions in Portuguese promoting the IBCLC and discussing how to earn the IBCLC, the global standard in lactation consulting.

IBLCE was pleased to meet and engage in conversations with IBCLCs and aspiring IBCLCs from Brazil, Peru, Ecuador, Paraguay, Uruguay, Costa Rica, Saudi Arabia, Canada, New Zealand, Nigeria, the United States, the United Kingdom and Egypt, among other countries.

The International Baby Food Action Network (IBFAN) commemorated its 40 th  anniversary during the conference. Dr. Roberto Issler had the opportunity to personally congratulate Dr. Marina Rea, Chair of the IBFAN Brazil, for her long-standing career achievements and leadership!
