Essential tools for screening of blood for HIV, HBV, and HCV are now available in most countries thanks to  many years of work. The challenge for the next decade is to increase the supply of blood products at an  affordable price, so that reductions in maternal mortality, childhood anemia and trauma deaths can be realized.  The Forum will examine
  • Progress that has been made under PEPFAR
  • Gaps that remain in access to safe blood
  • The business case for increasing the supply of safe blood
  • Potential solutions to the current shortages of affordable blood products
    in the developing world.
I hope you will join us in moving the conversation forward - we're looking forward to connecting with you.
Sincerely,

John Donnelly, Ph.D.
