Stewardship Renewal

This weekend we begin our Stewardship Renewal at Immaculate Conception, a time when we reflect on how God is calling us, how we have been gifted, and how we are sent to share those gifts in love and service.

As we prayerfully enter into this renewal, we remind you Josie Driver's short and heartfelt reflection from last week. In her witness, Josie shares how she has recognized God’s blessings in her life, and how that awareness inspires her to serve and give generously to our parish community.

Over the next week, we invite every household in our parish to take time to consider:

  • How is God calling me at this moment in my life?
  • What gifts—of time, talent, and treasure—have I been given?
  • How is God sending me to share these gifts in love?

This weekend, we will be invited to respond through our Stewardship Commitment Pledge, renewing or making a new commitment to the life and mission of our parish.

We are grateful for the many ways you already live out your faith with joy and generosity. Your presence, prayers, service, and support help our parish thrive and allow the Gospel to be shared in real, tangible ways.

Please join us this weekend at Mass as we begin this sacred time of reflection and renewal as one parish family.

Stewardship Reflection from Today's Gospel Luke 14:25-33

Stewardship is not simply about filling out a commitment card or volunteering more hours. Stewardship is about deciding—deliberately, prayerfully—what place Christ truly holds in our lives.

We know Jesus is not asking us to reject the people we love--our mother, father, children. Rather, He is asking us to place Him first—to let our relationship with Him shape every other relationship and every choice we make. Jesus is inviting us to discipleship with intention, not half-hearted commitment.

He goes on to say that before we build something meaningful, we must sit down and consider the cost. Discipleship, just like stewardship, is not accidental. It requires reflection, decision, and sacrifice.

This week, as we begin our Stewardship Renewal, let us take time to “sit down and reflect,” just as Jesus teaches:

  • What has God entrusted to me?
  • How am I using those gifts?
  • What might Jesus be inviting me to surrender, reorder, or offer more freely?
