This past weekend, ICA, in collaboration with the County of Inyo and California Arts Council, hosted another two dates in our series of Community Art Days in Big Pine and Independence. Thank you to everyone who came out to enjoy a day of art, music, food, and fun in the parks! We would also like to extend a huge thank you to all the volunteers, vendors, and performers who made our Community Art Days a success! We could not do these events without the wonderful support of our communities. Thank you!

"The Book Thief"!

This Wednesday, come on down to Inyo Council for the Arts in Bishop or the Museum of Western Film History in Lone Pine (click here for the address) on May 8th to watch a free screening of The Book Thief* ! The showing in Lone Pine begins at 4pm and the showing in Bishop begins at 6pm. For more information, visit our Community Reads webpage .

Community Reads: Closing Event
Join us for the final event of the 2019 Community Reads on May 15th in Lone Pine! This FREE community dinner will take place at Lo-Inyo Elementary from 5:00-7:30pm and feature a raffle, a used book exchange, and art activities!

Celebrate literacy, bravery, tolerance, and another successful year of Community Reads with us at this fun and free event!
Last Chance to See Playhouse 395's Production of
Don't miss your change to see Mamma Mia! before its gone! The final performances for this lighthearted and sometimes hilarious musical are this weekend, May 10th and 11th. Prepare to be transported to the small Greek island of Kalokairi for a few hours of wonderful singing and dancing entertainment!

Tickets can be purchased through Brown Paper Tickets by clicking here or 24/7 over the phone at 1-800-838-3006. They are also available locally in Bishop at Inyo Council for the Arts, 137 S. Main Street, on Wednesdays and Fridays from 11-1. For wheelchair seats, please call Playhouse 395 at (760)920-9100. 

Premium reserved seats are $25 and General Admission seats are $20. Reserved seats are almost gone for some of the shows, but there are great General Admission seats available for those who arrive early. Tickets can also be purchased at the Theater Box Office at the high school starting one hour before the start of the show, unless it is sold out.

Chamber Music Unbound
The Eastern Sierra Chamber Orchestra and Chamber Music Unbound’s music students perform a free program of classical favorites, featuring music by Gershwin (his masterpiece, Rhapsody in Blue), Schubert, Mozart, Vivaldi, Telemann and more. Soloists include Ari Schuldt, piano; Arianna Pope, Liam Bassler, Alexis Molina, violins; Arissa Thompson, viola.
