HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM OF ALL OF US TO YOU!
The winter solstice marks a transition in our activities - while the wheelbarrows are tucked away and the mansion is quiet, we are far from hibernating. We will be very busy gearing up for a full calendar of offerings in 2024 as well as three capital projects thanks to the generosity of so many of you! Our board, staff and committees will be meeting with architects and engineers to revitalize the buildings and grounds on our campus for education and expanded public use. Stay tuned!
Wachenheim Center Resounds with Joy and Resilience
And that’s a wrap! Our annual a cappella jamboree was a resounding success - a small gesture to express OUR gratitude to the community for a successful 2023!

Three college student groups: The Dartmouth Sings, Princeton Tigertones and Shades of Yale were pure joy to hear for
3 spectacular sets of song. Almost 150 people attended and enjoyed two hours of entertainment along with hot cocoa and seasonal treats from Jimmy’s Softserve

The concert was free but attendees dialed up the volume on cheer by bringing nonperishables for the local food pantry at the Carver Center in Port Chester - as a result, they filled an entire SUV with canned goods and more for neighbors in need!
Jay Estate Gardens Design Honored for Excellence
Oh what a night! Congratulations to Thomas Woltz and his exceptional team at Nelson Byrd Woltz Landscape Architects including Mark Streiter and Charlotte Barrows.

On December 6, they won a prestigious McKim, Mead and White Award for Excellence in Classical and New Traditional Design for the gardens at the Jay Estate and a design “that compresses centuries into one riveting glance.” The honor, bestowed by the Institute of Classical Art and Architecture (ICAA), recognizes achievement in individual projects in architecture, interiors, landscape, urbanism, and building craftsmanship.

Help us keep the momentum going!
If you haven't made a gift this year,
there's still time!
