Alan Shaffer
(ICAF 1994) has been nominated to be deputy undersecretary of defense for acquisition and sustainment.
Air Force Maj. Gen.
Thomas J. Sharpy
(ICAF 2006) for appointment to the rank of lieutenant general, and assignment as deputy chief of staff for Capability Development, Supreme Allied Command Transformation, Norfolk, Virginia. Sharpy is currently serving as deputy commander, Air Mobility Command, Scott Air Force Base, Illinois.

Youssef Aboul-Enein
(ICAF 2010) was featured in a Department of Homeland Security public information video entitled, “Pathways to Violence.” The 11-minute video was primarily designed for local and state law enforcement. See the video

CDR Aboul-Enein continues to work as a Senior Counter-Terrorism Advisor at the Defense Intelligence Agency. He is working on his fifth book with Naval Institute Press titled, “Middle East 101: A Beginners Guide for Deployers, Travelers, and Concerned Citizens.” CDR Aboul-Enein and his coauthor are currently in the copy editing process for a May 2019 release date.
