A Quick Review of ICANN 48
The ICANNWiki team is back from a wonderful trip to Buenos Aires for ICANN 48, where we indulged in a polo match, ate plenty of good food, and explored the Argentinian capital during our spare time.

It was a pleasure to see those of you who came by the booth to sign up for our site or pick up your caricature badge and card decks! We hope to see you again in Singapore.

For those of you who weren't in Buenos Aires, ICANNWiki has put together a page on our site highlighting the major events and topics of the meeting. Check it out here, and feel free to edit or add to it, ICANNWiki is an open platform for our community.

Hot topics include
ICANN 'last resort' auctions and the New gTLD Program -- specifically its delegations and Registry Agreement signings.

Getting An Inside Look With Video Interviews

To get a sense of the conversations being had on the convention floor in Buenos Aires, watch interviews from the ICANNWiki video blog, presented in conjunction with Dyn and CircleID.

ICANNWIki founder Raymond King interviews various individuals in the industry, with topics ranging from the Domain Name Association to private auctions and the rollout of New gTLDs. Interviewees include:

Kurt Pritz of Domain Name Association

Frank Schilling of UniRegistry

Colin Campbell of .CLUB

Joost Zuurbier of FreeNom

Sheel Mohnot and Lindsay Holden of Applicant Auction

New gTLD Contracting

Many of you may be applicants for new gTLDs or may work with companies or organizations that are involved in the new gTLD application process. Our friends at Top Level Design are working with us to build a wiki page that can be a valuable resource that walks through the step-by-step process and illustrates it with examples and tips.

View the resource here, and please contribute to it, especially if you are a gTLD applicant with experiences to share!

As always, let us know if there's anything new you'd like to see on ICANNWiki or if you need assistance adding or editing an article on the site. We wish everyone a happy new year; see you in 2014!
