CEA Virtual Issues Conference
ICE and its partners in The Construction Employers of America (CEA) hosted a virtual issues conference on Wednesday, July 21st from the National Press Club in Washington, DC. Agency officials and members of Congress provided updates on our legislative priorities including: the regulatory outlook for Multiemployer Pension Plans, DOL efforts to address employee misclassification, OSHA developments and proposed federal infrastructure spending. CEA Comments on PBGC SFA Program
With the input of ICE, the CEA submitted comments to the PBGC regarding the Special Finance Assistance program. We expressed our recommendations for trustee flexibility that will protect the needs of both failing and healthy plans and their plan participants. Our full comments are available here.


CMU Checkoff Referendum Registration Still Open
If the Checkoff referendum succeeds, producers are expected to contribute roughly $10 million dollars a year towards marketing, research and promotion of CMU products. Please consider reaching out to CMU producers you work with in your area to encourage them to register for the referendum and to vote yes. More information.
