Dancing with the Beloved Workshop


Come, explore, and address the Beloved in its multiple forms:  

This workshop is intended to guide and support participants as they connect with the Inner Beloved and its Outer Expressions (i.e., relationships with our parents, children, spouses / partners, friends, etc.). 

Through individual and group activities breath work, meditation, sound, drumming, light language, movement, authentic sharing, participants are lovingly encouraged to engage in a process of Attention and Intention, Gratitude and Forgiveness, as well as Reflection and Action that promote a journey into possible unhealthy patterns of interactions, allowing for accessibility into the heart of remembrance and healing.

Music & Art As a Universal Language

To promote Jewish Disability Awareness, Acceptance and Inclusion Month, the Michael Boussina Inclusion Program (MBIP) presents an inclusion program for the entire community celebrating "Music & Art as a Universal Language". There will be performances, activities, food, and fun.

Open to everyone. No program fee.

Learn about the Jewish holiday Purim and its call to social action, and enjoy traditional Jewish pastries and refreshments.

Sacramento Symphonic Winds Concert series
Sacramento Symphonic Winds presents its 2018-2019 Concert Series

Bring the entire family to this extraordinary concert season entitled " … and the heart replies" at the new Rio Americano High School Center for the Arts. The Sacramento Symphonic Winds is a 60-piece adult symphonic band conducted by Music and Artistic Director Timothy M. Smith. The season will include James Sochinski’s epic Legend of Alcobaca, Frank Ticheli’s setting of Amazing Grace, Robert Jager’s inventive Variations on a Theme of Robert Schumann (The Happy Farmer) plus clarinet soloist Robert Mitchell performing Black Dog by Scott McAllister, lyric baritone vocal soloist Omari Tau performing selections from Aaron Copland’s Old American Songs, and our own trombone soloist Thomas Eckert performing Carnival of Venice by Herbert L. Clarke. 

Date/Time: Sundays; October 14 & December 9 (2018) and March 10 & May 5 (2019), 2:30 pm.
