The Visionaries Summit
Recently The Visionaries Summit was held in Sacramento. ICGS was represented as Ambassadors for Sacramento.
To donate directly to the Visionary Forest which currently stands at 5,536 trees and growing, click
here. For every $0.40 cents donated,
TreeSisters plants one tree!
Here is the film that was shown at the conference -
TreeSisters - Women Seeding Change
They are about to bring on at least three new projects in different countries this year, starting next week with Mozambique and hopefully Amazonia the following month. This is something that we can all be involved with and grow together year by year as we all take greater action in the face of climate change. Now is the time to do everything we can to restore our world.
TreeSisters is a global network of women who donate monthly to fund the restoration of our tropical forests as a collective expression of planetary care.

Youth Challenge Award Sacramento

YCA: Youth Challenge Award Sacramento
citiesRISE is mobilizing action to
improve mental health for and with young people in Sacramento by launching a Youth Challenge Award to support emerging young leaders and youth-focused organizations to take action in Sacramento to support community mental health. We are looking for socially entrepreneurial initiatives that are largely devised and implemented by youth (age 15-35) that address key dimensions of a paradigm shift around mental health, including:
- Normalizing the narrative around mental health so that it is valued, not stigmatized
- Increasing access to care and support for everyone
- Building social connectedness
Creating environments that support mental health and wellbeing
The Award:
- citiesRISE is accepting submissions for the Youth Challenge Award Sacramento from October 1st until November 1st, 2019. Submissions must follow specific guidelines. Please note, citiesRISE would be happy to support young people in developing their ideas prior to submission, please reach out for more information and support as needed: Greg@cities-rise.org
About citiesRISE:
citiesRISE is a global action platform committed to transforming the state of mental health policy and practice for young people globally, leveraging city systems and youth leadership for change. citiesRISE envisions a world in which cities enable young people to grow up, develop resilience, and lead productive lives by mainstreaming mental health across sectors. Our goal is to reach 1 billion young people by 2030 to turn the tide on depression, addiction and suicide through evidence-based interventions and community experience.
