CORE Group is Partnering with NeedsList for Red Recuperacion
|
Red Recuperación is an online marketplace that will aggregate needs from frontline workers serving displaced Venezuelans, and match them with offers from local businesses and the Venezuelan diaspora. This project is powered by NeedsList’s real-time matching software and designed in collaboration with implementing partners: the CORE Group, Scalabrini International Migration Network, and Diálogo Diverso.
By giving Frontline communities a direct link to funders, suppliers, and service providers, they can quickly obtain what they need, when they need it. In addition to moving resources to Civil Society Organizations and communities, this software allows for direct engagement from the public and private sectors, including local and national companies, but also Venezuelan entrepreneurs, investors or multinationals who often are disconnected from grassroots organizations

Today, more than ever, development efforts need to reach the poor. The challenges of poverty often cannot be addressed without help from policies and programs that intentionally serve those most in need and work to reduce inequality. To make this happen, Metrics for Management is excited to announce the launch of the Davidson Gwatkin Equity Measurement Prize. This annual juried competition will award up to four cash prizes each valued between $5,000 and $10,000 to an individual or team of authors for research that uses the EquityTool and its data to assess and improve services that reach the poor or to gain insight into wealth equity in low- and middle-income countries.
You can submit a nomination for a 2021 Gwatkin Prize at equitytool.org starting May 1, 2021. Additional details, including eligibility and judging criteria, is available here.
