Prepare - Protect - Prevent
This time of year, one of the main safety hazards is the cold weather. From blizzards, winter storms, snow and ice, the weather creates extra considerations when it comes to safety. Agencies should be prepared and have a responsibility to create a safe and hazard-free environment.
Be Fire Wise
Population in wildland-urban interface (WUI) areas has exploded & every year, devastating wildfires burn across the United States (especially in Idaho). At the same time, a growing number of people are living where wildfires are a real risk. While these fires will continue to happen, there are things you can do to help protect your buildings, neighborhoods & homes as well as your safety.

Idaho's Future Fire Outlook

Property damage from wildfire is the #1 property risk that Idaho currently faces, and it's not getting any better. First Street Foundation, a research organization, recently released its 9th National Risk Assessment & the results are not optimistic.

Make sure you're doing everything you can to lessen the risk of wildfire risk to your buildings & structures, and that work needs to start now. The more you protect your structures, the more you help to protect the entire ICRMP membership & protect our access to adequate property insurance.
