Today is a special day: We are celebrating the first-ever ICS Appreciation Day and asking every member of the community to consider making a gift to ICS.
As the parent of a 3rd and a 5th grader at ICS, I appreciate first-hand how ICS teaches our children to become global citizens who thrive in a multicultural, multilingual, diverse, and inclusive community. I appreciate the wonderful teachers who teach our children, the administrators who support them, and the International Baccalaureate® program, which nurtures and develops young students as caring, active participants in a lifelong journey of learning.
I don’t need to tell you that 2020 has been unlike any other year we have experienced. But I want to share with you my appreciation—and admiration—for how well ICS and its director, Julie Nora, have responded to the COVID crisis, making sure our children are as safe as possible during this delicate time. This has come at a cost, and so today, we are asking you to show your appreciation.
