CONGRATULATIONS TO HIMADYUTHI GOWDA:

WINNNER OF THE WSPTA ESSAY CONTEST

ICS PTSA gives a hearty and proud shoutout to grade 11 student, Himadyuthi Gowda, in winning the 2025-2026 Washington State PTA Essay Contest!

The objective of this statewide essay contest is for students of all ages and abilities to write an essay about an influential role model that has had a profound impact on their life. The influential role model must be a real person that the student has interacted with, not a fictional character. These essays, from the students’ perspectives, will serve to inspire and acknowledge amazing individuals.

Congratulations Himadyuthi!!

ICS COOKBOOK

Did you know that two years ago the ICS PTSA Diversity Equity & Inclusion Committee put together a cookbook consisting of much-loved recipes from ICS families? It was beautifully put together by fellow parent, Tarek Azoz, and worth a look: ICS Cookbook.

CONTINUE TO SUPPORT FBLA PIZZA FUNDRAISER:

FRIDAY, May 15 & 29

Future Business Leaders of America recently had great success at the regional FBLA competition, with several students advancing to the state competition in Spokane, congratulations!

As they continue their journey toward nationals and future opportunities, we’d like to share a reminder about their ongoing Pizza Fundraiser, which helps support student participation and related expenses.

Students will be serving up delicious Costco pizza slices for just $4.00, or you can grab a slice + soda combo for only $5.00. Sales will take place on Fridays after school so swing by, bring your friends and treat yourself!

This fundraiser is open to all students and staff, so everyone is welcome to join in. Just don't forget - cash only!
