The annual ICUF Benefit Night Fundraiser was held on September 14 in Coralville. Attendees enjoyed dinner, a silent auction and live music by Orquesta Alto Maiz. 2023 ICUF Impact Awards were presented to Monte Berg (Veridian Credit Union) and Lindsey Gould (Community 1st Credit Union). 

Thank you to all attendees and sponsors for your generous support! ICUF had a record-breaking fundraising event, raising more than $103,000 to support our mission-driven programs.

ICUF has announced a new three-year, $150,000 initiative to work with Iowa credit unions to offer grant opportunities for nonprofit organizations that work to close racial wealth gaps, expand financial inclusion opportunities, and improve the financial well-being of the individuals and communities credit unions serve across the state of Iowa. The grants will work to solve barriers to financial inclusion like affordable housing, business ownership, childcare, education, employment, access to health care and more. 

More information will be available soon, and the first grant cycle will begin in early 2024.

Applications are open for ICUF's 2023 Small Credit Union Grant. Credit unions at or under $50 million in assets qualify for this grant. Credit unions may apply for grants in these categories:



• New credit union technology improvements
• Strategic planning and consultation services (including DEI related consultation or training services)
• Covering cost to participate in a paid training or education event offered by ICUL or CUNA

To apply for this grant, download and complete this application. Finished applications must be emailed to ICUF by November 10 at 5:00 p.m. The small credit union grant is made possible thanks to donor support from Veridian Credit Union.

National Hispanic Heritage Month traditionally honors the cultures and contributions of both Hispanic and Latino Americans, celebrating the heritage rooted in all Latin American countries from September 15 - October 15.
