Benefit Night Raises Over $98,000 for Mission-Driven Initiatives

The annual ICUF Benefit Night Fundraiser was held on August 29 in Des Moines. ICUF Executive Director Ena Babic Barnes, ICUF Board Chair Ann McMillian and Board Vice Chair Marian Holmes led the program and acknowledged 2022 Community Impact Award winners Jim Dean and Jeff Disterhoft. Entertainment was provided by the Kingfish Band.

Small Credit Union Grant Applications Due November 11

Applications are open for ICUF's 2022 Small Credit Union Grant. Credit unions at or under $50 million in assets qualify for this grant. Credit unions may apply for grants in these categories:

  • New credit union technology improvements
  • Strategic planning and consultation services (including DEI related consultation or training services)
  • Covering cost to participate in a paid training or education event offered by ICUL or CUNA


To apply for this grant, download and complete this application. Finished applications must be emailed to ICUF by November 11 at 5:00 p.m.

Each year in October, credit unions and their members around the globe celebrate International Credit Union Day. This year, the celebration falls on October 20.

Financial Health Network Publishes 2022 U.S. Trends Report

According to the Financial Health Network's 2022 U.S. Trends Report, the financial health of Americans has declined for the first time since the annual report began five years ago. 


Read the report to learn about the financially vulnerable, those who are coping financially, and identify the ways your credit union can help members who walk through your doors.
