Unable to join the 2021 Benefit Night in person? Register for a virtual viewing ticket option at no cost to live stream the Benefit Night program. We encourage those participating virtually to donate to ICUF.

ICUF Golf Classic A Success!
During this year's annual golf classic, almost 140 golfers and many generous sponsors helped the Foundation raise more than $50,000! Thank you to everyone who participated in this successful event!

We are also excited to announce that the ICUF Golf Classic will now be called the "Be the Light" ICUF Golf Classic in memory of credit union champion, Dale Owen.
Owen was the President and CEO of Ascentra Credit Union and served on the ICUF Board of Directors for nearly a decade. He was a fierce credit union advocate and was truly dedicated to improving the financial lives of others. The Iowa credit union community will continue to shine thanks to the light Dale inspired in us.

Purchase a T-shirt in memory of beloved credit union leader, former ICUF board member and President/CEO of Ascentra Credit Union Dale Owen!

Shirts have a quote from Dale on them: “Helping people should be as natural as breathing.”

Dale always challenged ICUF to “never say ‘no’” to members in need. Shirts are $30 and all proceeds will be used to fund natural disaster grants for Iowa credit union members in need.

AMC Employees Pledge $17,000 in Gifts to ICUF
Affiliates Management Company (AMC) recently held their
annual Friend of the Foundation campaign benefiting ICUF.
Through online donations and paycheck pledges, AMC raised
more than $17,000 to support ICUF's work.

Credit Unions Improve Financial Well-Being
Are you curious to know how credit unions improve financial well-being for all? Cornerstone Credit Union League President/CEO Caroline Willard debunks several credit union myths with facts in an article published in CUInsight.

Some of these facts include that credit unions provide $18.9 billion annually in financial benefits to consumers through higher savings and returns, lower loan rates and fewer fees.

Rural Innovation Projects & Housing Studies to be Held in 26 Iowa Counties
Governor Kim Reynolds and the Iowa Economic Development Authority have announced $400,000 in grant funding will be awarded to 26 projects to help grow and revitalize rural communities across the state.

In addition to the Rural Innovation Grants, the cities of Atlantic, Grinnell, Livermore, Mount Ayr, Onawa, Rock Valley, Sheldon and Shenandoah received Rural Housing Assessment grants and will participate in readiness assessment and implementation process in partnership with Iowa State University Office of Extension and Outreach.
Additional Support for Child Care Providers
On June 23, Governor Reynolds announced additional support for child care providers in the state of Iowa, including increased Child Care Assistance (CCA) rates, stipends to accelerate COVID recovery efforts and enhancements to programs promoting educational opportunities for child care providers.
