ICUF Awards $23,000 to Scholarship Winners
Twelve students have been awarded 2022 Warren A. Morrow Memorial Scholarships totaling $23,000. The annual scholarship program is in memory of the late Warren A. Morrow and is open to credit union members pursuing or completing post-secondary education. This program is funded by donor support.

Ena Babic Barnes Named to Polk County Housing Trust Fund Board of Directors
ICUF Executive Director Ena Babic Barnes has been named to Polk County Housing Trust Fund Board of Directors as part of ICUF’s focused effort on affordable housing. As part of the Board, Ena will Chair the Program and Supportive Service Committee.

The Polk County Housing Trust Fund is the comprehensive planning, advocacy and funding organization for Affordable Housing in Polk County Iowa. Focused around these three core activities, the Housing Trust Fund is responsible for crafting the community strategic plan for affordable housing and leading its implementation. It is also tasked with helping the community understand the need for and benefits of adequate affordable housing.
Education Opportunity: Credit Union FAFSA Training
The Iowa Credit Union League (ICUL) is partnering with ICAN to bring in-depth financial aid training to credit union personnel statewide. The ICAN training will provide Iowa credit unions with the tools they need to play a critical role in helping families understand college costs and, more importantly, develop strategies to pay for them.
