View latest study results online: An Assessment of the Economic Impact of Pulp, Paper and Converting in Wisconsin
The March 8 presentation included a
question-and-answer session
The Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation has contracted with the Wisconsin Institute for Sustainable Technology to carry out an in-depth study of the state's pulp, paper and converting industries that will help quantify the economic contribution of the industry at the state and county level.

This study draws on publicly available data including from the U.S. Census Bureau, the Bureau of Labor Statistics and the Bureau of Economic Analysis. In addition, in conjunction with the Wisconsin Paper Council, WIST tapped the knowledge of industry insiders with dozens of interviews and a survey.

We presented latest findings of this study on March 8 at UW-Stevens Point to an audience of approximately 75 people -- industry professionals, elected officials, economic development specialists and others.

We invite you to view slides of the presentation or view a video of the presentation.

If you have information you'd like to contribute to the study, email Paul.Fowler@uwsp.edu by March 22. A final report will be issued in April. Thank you for your interest and consideration.
