For the second year, Associate Professor Mostafa M. Fouda has been named an Outstanding Associate Editor of IEEE Access!
The open-access scientific journal focuses on engineering, computing, and technology. In addition to his work on IEEE Access, he also serves as an editor for IEEE Internet of Things Journal and IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology.

Way to go, Greesh Vaidya!
Greesh, a graduate student in civil engineering, earned himself a Gold Paper Award for his paper, Ultra-High-Performance Concrete for Compressed Air Energy Storage, at the 5th Intermountain Engineering, Technology and Computing Conference in Orem, Utah, earlier this month.

Mustafa Mashal, professor of civil engineering, Jared Cantrell, research engineer and lab manager, and Prajita Budhathoki, undergraduate student, all paid a visit to the ISU Research, Innovation, and Creativity Insights podcast on KISU.
The group talked with Marty Blair, vice president for research and economic development, about the engineering research at ISU that may help save lives and build a safer future for all of us, as well as some of the projects that involve ISU students and partnerships helping support innovations in bridge building, agriculture, and energy systems.

The College of Science and Engineering Dean's Excellence Fund is intended to support students in their journey through ISU. The Dean's Office is particularly interested in providing financial assistance to students who might not be able to enroll in or complete the semester because of short-term financial hardships. Students seeking such support should be in good academic standing.
If you know of a student who is in need of short-term support, please have them complete this form.

ISU Remains Engaged in Promoting the Value of Higher Education at a National Level
Idaho State University is engaging in state and local dialogue related to the importance of higher education and the multiple roles ISU plays in serving its communities.
ISU has joined 50 institutions and organizations in signing a Renewed Call to Action statement by members of the Council on Competitiveness and its National Commission on Innovation and Competitiveness Frontiers.

ISU Americorps to Host Idaho @ Play Field Day June 7
Join the ISU AmeriCorps programs in celebrating Idaho @ Play Week with a fun field day. We'll have plenty of games and relay races for kids and families to participate in, refreshments on hand, and a raffle!
The field day will be held at Cadet Field on the ISU campus, located between Reed Gym and the Rendezvous Building on Saturday, June 7, from noon to 2 p.m.

You are always welcome to create a draft story, submit it via the Story Submission Form, or send it to Logan. The Office of Marketing and Communications and Logan will coordinate to get the story finalized and distributed to the media outlets/platforms that best tell the story.
