Preference, Bias, Prejudice, and Privilege: Words matter but what do they mean?

Presented by Jocelyn Armstrong
Director of Inclusion and Outreach at the Ohio State Bar Association

Words are powerful and meaningful. We often focus on what we shouldn’t say for fear of being offensive and miss the opportunity to choose the right words. Some diversity, equity, and inclusion terms are familiar and pervasive; others seem to constantly evolve. We’ll spend time exploring terms, phrases, and how to have meaningful conversations.
