IDA Announces 2023 Distinction of Service Award Honorees

The International Dyslexia Association (IDA) is pleased to announce Nancy Cushen White, Ed.D. and Becky Xi Chen, Ph.D. as this year's Distinction of Service Award Honorees. This newly established award will be presented during the Opening Session of our 2023 Annual Conference.


The Distinction of Service Award was created to recognize an individual who has made significant contribution as a volunteer in a leadership role for the International Dyslexia Association (IDA) at the local, state, national, or international level in any of the following capacities: Editorial board or committee leadership, program delivery, community outreach, fundraising efforts, marketing and communications, and governance responsibilities

2024 Samuel Torrey Orton Award

 

The International Dyslexia Association (IDA) is pleased to announce that nominations for the Samuel Torrey Orton Award and the Samuel Torrey and June Lyday Orton Memorial Lecture. This award is the highest honor bestowed by the International Dyslexia Association (IDA). The award is given annually, more than one person may receive this recognition in any given year, and the honoree does not have to be a member of IDA. Please view the guidelines and procedures

2024 Margaret B. Rawson Award 

 

The International Dyslexia Association (IDA) is pleased to announce that nominations for The Margaret Byrd Rawson Lifetime Achievement Award. This award recognizes the work of an individual to advance the mission of the International Dyslexia Association (IDA). The award shall be given to an individual whose work is nationally recognized as furthering the mission of IDA and embodies Margaret Rawson’s compassion, leadership, commitment to excellence, and fervent advocacy for people with dyslexia. The recipient(s) of the award must e a longtime (20+) member of IDA. Please review the guidelines and procedures.
